We're a family with 3 children now aged 8, 9 and 11. We're all fans of the Domaine du Val. Parents appreciate the calm of the place and children love the various nooks and crannies in the domain, or they play games, go to the garden and enjoy the views.
We fell in love straight away with the novel idea of well-designed chalets on stilts: inside, you feel as though there's nobody else in the world and the view is marvellous. The chalets have a warm feel and are highly functional and always clean, a perfect cocoon for all the family.
Then there's the domain, which we like for its size and its natural charms, with lots of little corners and areas where we like to walk, and the children adore playing and enjoying a certain amount of freedom in safety.
The club house with its swimming pool is a real boon. The children love the swimming pool winter and summer. In the club house we can enjoy coffee, aperitifs and breakfast, always in a welcoming zen ambience with a nice play area where the children love to go every time we're here.
We've been coming for 10 years. We come back every time because we love the region, its nature, the light, the sea, le Crotoy which is the only south-facing beach in the north of France, its simplicity. Every year the children love to come back to their little habits in the domain and create others. We particularly appreciate the friendly welcome by Xavier and his staff.
Yes, for us it's clearly a plus. When you come to unwind in such a beautiful region, you're very aware that it should be protected. The approach of the Domaine du Val is perfectly in line with this: for a very long time there's been waste sorting, composting, natural maintenance of the green spaces; the houses use wood as a material, you feel that it's genuine, that it's an authentic approach of respect for nature.
