Immerse yourself in nature!

Ponds, woodland, orchards, meadows, shrubs laden with flowers, fields and little creatures… So many precious habitats for flora and fauna and rare for walkers.

“Ditch school”!

The Val des Lépreux once formed part of the fields and meadows of the Grand-Laviers’ family farm. It was subsequently converted into a golf course. It was Xavier Mennesson, owner of the Domaine du Val, who took on the ambitious challenge to humbly convert the area into a hiking trail of just over three kilometres. A haven for nature that marries preservation of the site with an educational approach. Here, we open our eyes to the natural landscape… without disturbing it.

The four seasons of the Valley

You will have the opportunity to explore a series of small worlds, biodiverse treasures, which are home to remarkable animal and plant species.

Birdsong in the fields…

This archipelago of environments still marked by humans was effectively colonised, a bit like Noah’s ark: birds, wild orchids and an entire microcosm of insects such as dragonflies have found paradise here.

Your opportunity to enjoy it and respect the nature within.

Le silence de la nature
La responsabilité des enfants
Un espace propre
Ne pas cueillir les plantes
Chiens tenus en laisse
Marche uniquement, pas de jogging
The Domaine du Val reserve is managed in partnership with the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels des Hauts-de-France [Conservation body for Natural Spaces in the Hauts-de-France region].

Access is exclusive to residents of the Domaine du Val. It is also accessible to all during specific events (Bird festival, etc.).

Please be considerate of the fauna that finds refuge here, and respect the access times: 09:00-19:00.

Follow the numbers on the wooden painted posts and do not deviate from the trail so as not to trample on the flora or disturb the animals that live here.

Keep dogs on the lead.

Please do not pick the plants (some are rare and protected).

In order to keep the area clean and tidy, no picnicking outside the tranquil cour
tyard area.

The path is not accessible for buggies. Be sure to wear all terrain footwear or
hiking boots to make the most of your visit.

Please keep a distance of 3 m from the edge of marshland and ponds.

Meander the meadows!

The path is for walking only. Jogging is not permitted.

Shhhh!

Here, we listen to the sound of silence, it has plenty to tell us!

Enjoy the peace and quiet of your surroundings and be mindful of the animals that live here.

All children that visit the area are under the responsibility and supervision of accompanying adults. Strictly no unaccompanied minors are permitted. The Domaine du Val accepts no responsibility in the event that this rule is not respected.
